When I started at St Anne's College in 1978.  Diane, who was a year ahead of me, was my "sponsor", - she wrote to me in the summer before I started and made sure I settled in when I got there.  She did this in such a friendly caring way, was interested in how I was doing and answered all my many questions.  She was an important part of me feeling I belonged there.  After leaving I used to bump into her at reunions over the years, it was always good to see her warm smile.  I'm so sorry for your loss.
